Time as meaning

Audiovisual installation about memory and nostalgic attachment. By searching a video corpus (AI generated), a montage is created using a continuously generated discourse. We use language as a way of navigating datasets and lock a language model in a loop through a clock system. Presented as an installation, the experience is a system talking to itself.

We focus on practical futures that can benefit by reorganising video material through natural language, derive speech artificially, and study correlation by coordination. The AI system is set to stay in a specific sequence through arbitrary value conditions such as frame analysis. Both composition and production was done by Luís Arandas and Marco Jerónimo, exhibition at VAF, Denmark (2022).
